5 predictions for Arkansas soccer, basketball and extra in 2022-23

It won’t be long till fall comes, and when it does, Arkansas athletics will be back for its 2022-23 seasons.

After an academic year with stellar seasons from football, softball, men’s basketball and more added to the revelry of Razorbacks fans, expectations are high for nearly every Arkansas team.

From football in September to baseball in June, here’s what we think is in store for the Razorbacks in the year to come.

Arkansas football will win nine games

Arkansas football opens the 2022 season against a 2021 playoff team in Cincinnati, and their non-conference schedule continues with strong opponents such as BYU and Liberty. Add in the usual SEC West powerhouses, and Arkansas’ schedule is a gauntlet.

But the Razorbacks are returning plenty of experienced players on both sides of the ball and are coming off an eight-win regular season that restored faith in the program. Arkansas will fall victim to the usual suspects in Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU, but the Razorbacks will achieve nine regular-season wins for the first time in more than a decade.
